The entire tip of the specimen holder, including the fixed and moveable crossheads, are cooled using liquid nitrogen
Specimen attachment

Hexlok™ and clamping plate firmly secure each end of the tensile specimen
Temperature stability

Better than +/- 1 ºC in the -170 ºC to -130 ºC range
Elongation

Single pushbutton operation starts or stops elongation process
Tilt ranges and compatibility of specimen holders vary according to the TEM manufacturer, model, pole piece gap, and the presence of in-gap accessories. Please contact your local Gatan representative for more information.
